Fleet Vehicle Driver Procedure

Fleet Vehicle Driver Procedure (PDF)

To meet insurance requirements and continue to maintain a safe working environment, the District recently formulated the Fleet Vehicle Driver Procedure, which applies to all employees who must drive for their District job and/or who complete the District's Type III Vehicle Training. It is your responsibility to review it, seek clarification if needed, and adhere to its terms.

Additionally, all affected employees must complete the following mandatory training on the new procedure: Once you have completed the training, you must certify that you have done so by completing the policy acknowledgement eform in PeopleSoft.

As stated in the procedure, being a responsible driver rests with the individual employee, who is responsible for:

  1. Accessing and understanding the Fleet Vehicle Driver Procedure;
  2. Completing the required training on the procedure;
  3. Maintaining a driving record in good standing; and
  4. Immediately reporting any required information (vehicle damage, driving violations) to your supervisor as outlined in the procedure.

Your cooperation in upholding these standards is appreciated and vital to our continued success as a district.
