Campus Instruction
The Campus Instruction tab includes tools for teachers such as: Grade book, Roster, Attendance, and Planner. Explore the sections below to learn more about important elements within the Campus Instruction tab.

General Navigation
You may notice that Infinite Campus looks different than it did in the past. This is likely due to the new Classroom Navigation setting. To enable or disable Classroom, toggle the on/off switch in the top right corner of the teaching center.
The switch to Classroom changes the location of several instructional tools. To learn more, explore this short guide or watch this video overview.
Account Settings
Taking Attendance
Student attendance is recorded in Infinite Campus for every period during school days. Watch this video to learn how to take attendance using Campus.
Advisory Tab - viewing all student assignments and scores
The Advisory tool helps teachers identify areas of improvement for students during classes such as advisory, homeroom, or study hall.

Email Students and Guardians
Teachers can email individual or selected students and/or family contacts directly from the Teacher Message Center. How to Videos:
Best Practices for sending Campus Messages:

To include guardians, select “messenger contacts”. Includes anyone whose relationship to the students is marked as being a message contact.

In the Sender Display field, enter your name (Ex. Marsha Mellow)

The Message Subject should include the course name (ex. Chemistry safety contract due next week)

Preview the message by using the Test feature to email yourself.

Gradebook Navigation
To navigate to different sections, adjust the Term, Section and Task drop-downs at the top of the gradebook.
- Add: Do not use. *Refer to the Grade Sync Information for how to import Schoology assignment data.
- List: View a list of all assignments and the counts for assigned and scored. Options to view imported.
Click on the blue Settings toggle button to expand the menu.
Select Categories to view preset categories. To view the weight of each category, click on the category name.
To view the grade scale for a course, click on Grade Calc Options in the settings menu. Click close when done.

Schoology / Campus Grade Sync
Educators should sync assignments and scores from Schoology to Campus whenever updating grades. Instructions for the grade sync are linked here.
This data is necessary for:
- Advanced reporting at the building level,
- Snaphots of student grades at any particular time
- Using the "Advisory" tab in Campus
Secondary Grading Marks
How to Post Grades (Secondary)
In-Progress Grades need to be posted to the Mid-Quarter and Course Grade grading tasks in Campus. Grades synced from Schoology do NOT automatically post.
Posting transfers grades (letter and %) from the Infinite Campus Gradebook to the students' Grade tab (used for report cards). Access to post grades will be open for specific windows each term per the Secondary Grading Calendar.
Campus Community
The Campus Community provides a single sign-on access from the Campus system to the knowledge base, forum discussions, learning tools, support site, upcoming events and more.
From the Community tab, access the Knowledge Base for a searchable database of articles for support with all things Campus related.
Campus Tools
Within the Campus Tools section, staff staff can search for students, household members, or staff. This section also houses tools like Behavior Referrals, Hall Passes, Scheduling, Reports, and more!
"All People" Search
Most employees have access to the “All People” search function in Campus. The tabs available in “All people” vary for staff depending on their Campus User Rights. Use the All People search to find basic student demographic and enrollment information about students across the district (not just enrolled at your school.)

Campus Hall Pass
New for the 2024-2025 School Year
Schools have the option to use the new Campus Hall Pass tool to assign digital hall passes to students.

Course Approval Process
Deadlines for the 2025-2026 School Year

Monday, December 9th, 2024 - Deadline for teachers to submit any new courses for approval for 25-26 SY. Submissions after this date may not be considered for the 25-26 SY.

Thursday, December 19th, 2024 - Deadline for District Departments to approve new courses and changes to existing courses. All changes and additions must be communicated to the Campus Team.

Monday, January 13th, 2025 - Updated Course Catalog will be available for schools and staff.
