Strategic Plan 2026-2033

The image features a stylized star-shaped design with the text "Inclusion" and "Infrastructure" surrounding it, along with the text "SPPS 2033" at the bottom.

Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) is embarking on the critical work of developing its next Strategic Plan, a roadmap that will guide our priorities, investments and focus areas for years to come.

Community engagement opportunities will begin in February 2026, with multiple opportunities to get involved through the end of the school year. Click the button below to get involved.

Engagement Opportunities

The strategic planning process will also include a facilities portfolio analysis to review our district buildings and create a long-term plan that ensures our facilities are aligned with our academic programs and the number of students we serve. Check back in April 2026 for more information.

Priority Areas and Key Topics

Between May and October 2025, Superintendent Stacie Stanley intentionally listened, observed, and analyzed data to gain critical insights into both the strengths that make SPPS unique and opportunities that will allow us to illuminate, elevate and extend excellence. The below priorities and key topics came directly from this engagement process.

Excellence in Instruction

Ensuring every student receives high-quality, culturally responsive instruction that accelerates their own growth.

  • Achievement Gap Reduction & Academic Acceleration
  • Continuous Improvement Infrastructure
  • Literacy Consistency and Coherence

Deliberate Inclusion

Creating schools where every student and staff member experiences dignity, connection and comprehensive support.

  • Discipline and Belonging Review
  • Family Communication and Language Access Standards
  • Special Education Programming Enhancement
