Enhanced ACT coming 2025-2026
What's Changing?
- Reduced number of questions overall (there are 44 fewer questions, to be exact)
- Reduced test length
- Students get more time per question
- Reduced number of answer choices in the math questions from 5 to 4
- Only need to take the English, Math and Reading tests to receive a Composite score
- SPPS is still offering the Science test
What's Not Changing?
- The ACT scale will remain 1-36 with no changes to ACT benchmarks
- Scores from tests taken prior to the rollout of the new Composite score will not change
- No impact on Predicting First-Year College Success
