My name is Kerrie Troseth, and I have been the SPPS Indian Education high school counselor since 2013. My undergraduate degree is in English/Language Arts Education from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. My graduate degree is in Counseling and Student Personnel: School Counseling (K-12) from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I have advanced training in Global Career Development Facilitation, College Counseling through UCLA, and Olweus Bullying Prevention. In 2023, I completed the Northern Arizona University's Indian Country School Counselors Institute and developed a culturally responsive curriculum for school counselors around the country to utilize with Native youth.
Fun fact...my husband, Darren, is the current record holder for the largest fish caught (and released) in Minnesota...a sturgeon measuring 78"...through the ice! His family are enrolled members of White Earth and live near Bois Forte (Nett Lake) We often visit our family and the area to enjoy hiking, fishing, camping, blueberry gathering, snowmobiling, and just relaxing.
