Grades K-12 Summer Learning Programs help students strengthen academic and social emotional skills, discover new talents and recover high school credits.

Free Meals
All students receive a free breakfast and lunch at school.
Transportation
Transportation is available to most students who live in Saint Paul.
How to Register
SPPS STUDENTS: SPPS high school counselors will enroll SPPS students into a Summer Learning Program. Families will receive an email confirmation for every student enrolled.
NON-SPPS STUDENTS: Non-SPPS high school counselors enroll their students into an SPPS summer program. Contact Elizabeth.Mercil@spps.org for more information.

Grade 9-12 Summer Learning Programs
Students participate in credit recovery courses in which academic content is taught using alternative education methods, including courses with specific themes. Daily in person attendance is expected. Each course is worth one credit and graded as passed (P) or not passed (NP).
Students participate in credit recovery courses in which academic content is taught using alternative education methods. Students work with a team of teachers and a counselor to complete coursework based on their individual needs. Daily in-person attendance is expected. Each course is worth one credit and graded as passed (P) or not passed (NP).
Students work on course content material that is online and self-paced. Teachers are available online to help students during a scheduled time. This option is recommended for motivated, independent learners. Students must have access to a device and internet access. Students placed in a Right Track internship can take classes through Credit Recovery Network. Each course is worth one credit and graded as passed (P) or not passed (NP).
Credit recovery through active participation in multi-disciplinary courses with an emphasis on hands-on, real-life applications. Core-content courses are paired with an experience. Students earn credits only in core content areas. Core classes align with 9th-grade courses. Students can earn English Language Arts credits, in addition to the credits for their enrolled course, by completing additional assignments and reflections. Daily in-person attendance is expected. Each course is worth one credit and graded as passed (P) or not passed (NP).
English Language Learner students continue to develop literacy skills through this program. Students build their speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills through the courses of Language and Literacy, Math Foundations, Language of Science, and Writers Institute. Daily in-person attendance is expected. Each course is worth one credit and graded as passed (P) or not passed (NP).
