SPPS READS Summer
Summer Reading & Learning Opportunities
Accessing Books This Summer
Where can your kids find the books they want to read?
Saint Paul Public Libraries
LibraryGo accounts are active year-round, so students can check out digital materials to read or listen to on their personal devices or school-issued iPads. SPSS students can also check out up to 10 print copies at a time from any SPPL branch. Student's Library Go Barcode number is 22091600 + ID Number (6 digits) and PIN is your birthdate (MMDDYYYY). Students can use their LibraryGo card to reserve books and pick them up at the branch closest to their home.
The SPPL Mobile Library will be visiting neighborhoods this summer. Students can use their Library Go eCard number to check out books. See the mobile library schedule here.
Saint Paul Public School Libraries
Use the SPPS Virtual Library or the Clever Home Page to connect to SPPS, SPPL and eLibrary of Minnesota resources for reading, skill-building, research and review.
Little Free Libraries
You may find some great books in a neighborhood Little Free Library. Here is an interactive map of all of the Little Free Libraries. You can search by zip code to find the locations nearest to you.
Summer Reading Programs
Many book stores and libraries offer free books and prizes for reading. We partner with the Saint Paul Public Library to promote Summer Spark!
