Welcome to Battle Creek Middle School

  • We believe middle school can be the most exciting part of a child’s education. At Battle Creek Middle, every student is part of a team − two in each grade level − that meets monthly to socialize, learn and reflect on the middle school experience. Teachers not only teach students, but partner with them to provide encouragement and inspiration.  Learn more ...

Greetings, Panther Students, Families and Staff!

This is Principal Paddock with the BCMS school updates for the week of November 30th.  I hope you and your families had a wonderful long weekend!  Saturday was a beautiful day to get outside and enjoy what may be the last of our warm weather.  We had so much fun on activity day, playing games, reading and socializing. We hope to host more in the upcoming months.  This week is PBIS and restorative practice reteach week.  Teachers will review our BCMS expectations along with rituals & routines to be successful.

November 30th is an A-Day.  Students will attend Daily Foundations/Study Skills at 8:30 am, Period 1A, Period 2A, Period 3A and Period 4A.  Check out the BCMS Daily Schedule and Distance Learning 2.0 Semester Schedule for more information.

Families, please complete your free and reduced lunch form no later than Dec. 15th.  BCMS staff will make phone calls to all families that have not completed the form beginning tomorrow Nov. 30th.  The forms are also available via the School Café app on your student’s district issued ipad.  Directions for how to complete the form are available using the video link.  This form must be completed by all families even if you do not qualify.  SPPS and BCMS receives funding for our free school lunch program dependent on completion of these forms.  All students that have completed the form will be entered in a drawing for Panther gear and other prizes before winter break.

Tomorrow (Nov 30) is the last day to participate in the November Reading Challenge and the November Panther Workout Challenge.

Take care, be well, and GO PANTHERS!!
