Welcome to Battle Creek Middle School

  • We believe middle school can be the most exciting part of a child’s education. At Battle Creek Middle, every student is part of a team − two in each grade level − that meets monthly to socialize, learn and reflect on the middle school experience. Teachers not only teach students, but partner with them to provide encouragement and inspiration.  Learn more ...

Greetings, Panther Students, Families and Staff!

This is Principal Paddock with the BCMS school updates for the week of March 1st.   We had a great first week of onsite support.  We hope you are ready for another week of onsite learning.

March 1st is an A-Day.  Students that are not onsite will participate in asynchronous learning or distance learning office hours provided from 8:30-11:45 am.  All students will attend Daily Foundations/Study Skills at 12:15 pm, Periods 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A. As a reminder, students should only report on their assigned day.

Tuesday, March 2nd students will not report to onsite support.  Students will attend distance learning office hours in the morning and follow our distance learning schedule in the afternoon beginning at 12:15 pm.

March 5th is a teacher professional development day.  Students do not have school on Friday.

Check out the updated BCMS Daily Schedule and Distance Learning 2.0 Semester schedule for more information.  The Distance Learning 2.0 semester schedule has been updated to include semester 2.

Some friendly safety reminders as we transition to onsite support:

    • Masks are required of all students and staff.  Please make sure your mask fits over your nose, mouth and chin.
    • All students and staff are expected to practice social/physical distancing and frequent handwashing
    • Families should conduct daily health screenings-do not come to school if you are feeling sick

A link providing more information has been provided.  Onsite Academic Support

    Other Important Information:

Meal pick-up will continue at BCMS from 8 am to 3 pm.  Please note there will be heavy traffic during student arrival and dismissal times.  Expect heavier traffic from 8-9 am and again from 10:30-11:30 am.  We ask that families do not block the bus loading area on North Park Drive.

Virtual student conferences have been postponed one week to March 11th from 3:30-8:00 pm.  Stay tuned for more information on how to sign up.

Take care, be well, and GO PANTHERS!

    February 22, 2021 Update

It was a great first day of onsite support!  Here are a few reminders for families:

Families please make sure your student attends on the correct assigned day.  This should be listed on the yellow postcard you received from transportation.  If you are unsure, please do not send your student and call the main office at 651.293.8960 so we can confirm the assigned date for your student to report to school.

Buses are running their regular routes every day.  You should only send your child on their assigned day even if you see the bus arrive at the bus stop.

Students and families needing assistance with the new schedule can log onto a Google Meet where staff are there to support.  The code is BCMSoss.  It is available from 8:30 am – 10:30 am through this Thursday.
