Ms. Diana Morton - Assistant Principal
My name is Diana Morton and I am proud to be a part of the Central administrative team. We are looking forward to a fantastic school year. I work predominantly with the freshmen class and serve as the master scheduler. We are Central Strong!
I have worked with the Saint Paul Public Schools since 1994 in a variety of positions. I've taught social studies, coordinated the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program, served as curriculum coordinator and school improvement specialist, coached athletics, facilitated the implementation of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and served as assistant principal at both Highland Park and Harding high schools.
I was born and raised in Iowa and spent some time living on the West Coast before moving to Minnesota. I earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa, a teaching license from Augsburg College, and a master's degree and an administrative license from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. I also completed the Institute for Courageous Principal Leadership at Minnesota State University. I recently finished up the National Institute for School Leadership (NISL) program, the Minnesota Principal's Academy, at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, gardening, reading, volunteering with Big Brother Big Sisters, and spending time with my pets.
