Welcome to Room 1408!The construction is very nearly complete here and the school is looking beautiful. There have been some changes, but I think that they are going to be great. One of the biggest changes is that we are not going to have desks for students. I have been working off of a table for years, and now my students will be as well. We will have shared supplies on each table and all of our books, folders, notebooks, etc. will have specific homes in the room. No more cluttered desks! I do think it will work out well. Here is a note that I will be sending home the first day of school regarding supplies....
I regret not having mentioned this in my welcome letter, but I wasn’t aware of it yet. Here is the deal for this year. All school supplies will be shared, community supplies. Students who brought items for school can put them in our community supply, or take them home for use there if they so choose. This includes special pencils, rulers, etc. Please remove extra items from backpacks to reduce clutter.
Mr. BudinI will be sending home a class update via e-mail each week which I will attach below. Please let me know if you would like me to send home a paper copy.
If you need to contact me e-mail works best, but a note or a phone call works as well. Don't hesitate to touch base if you have any questions or concerns.
A bit about Mr. Budin....
This will be my 12th year at Saint Anthony Park, and my 18th working for SPPS. I grew up in Burnsville but spent most weekends in the country at one of my grandparents' farms. I currently live in the Midway area of St. Paul with my wife Erin. In my free time I enjoy fishing, cooking, house projects, and spending time with friends and family.
