These eight Digital Suitcases were developed by educators during the summer of 2013 through a partnership with Saint Paul Public Schools’ Center for Equity and Culture and the Minnesota Humanities Center. Each Digital Suitcase includes:

Much of our Minnesota State Capitol Art reinforces the dominant narrative of western expansion, and ignores other perspectives and historical facts. This unit offers resources for students to critically examine this art and re-imagine what images could be in our capitol that would more fully represent Minnesota.
In the summer of 2020, the Office of Equity and Social Studies Department worked with teachers to create 30 three-day units that integrate social studies and literacy. All units:
