I've been a school counselor since 2012 and I've been at Highland Senior since the 2016-2017 school year. I worked in college access for 5 years before counseling. As a student and staff member, I've been a part of the Saint Paul Schools community for almost 30 years!
I try to place the needs of students first. I strive to be approachable and respectful. I like being a role-model, helping students and families problem-solve, and encouraging students to take responsibility and make their own decisions. I don't take myself very seriously. I really enjoy being a school counselor.
Outside of work I devote most of my time to my wife and kids (Leo is 5 years old and Ava is 3). There's nothing more important to me than spending time with my family.
Nights and weekends I explore hobbies. I have lots of interests; woodworking, writing, graphic arts, painting, film studies, filmmaking, social science, current events, technology and its influence on our lives. I have a guitar now (can't play it yet). I eat donuts. I nap sometimes.
Contact me anytime with questions.
