  • More about Dr. Veglia

I received my nursing degree from the University of Pennsylvania and my doctorate from the University of Minnesota. In addition to being a Licensed School Nurse, I am a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  I have cared for children and families in primary care clinics, in the emergency room and now in the school setting.

I am passionate about keeping kids healthy and love  working with children and their families. As a school nurse, I am dedicated to protect the health and safety of students and enhance the educational process by addressing health related barriers to learning. School health focuses on hygiene, exercise, nutrition, emotional well-being and management of chronic health conditions.

I am originally from Massachusetts, but have lived in Minnesota since 2000.  I live in Minneapolis with my three children, husband, dog and cat.  In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, walking in nature, reading and baking.
