    Senior Spring Activities and Deadlines

    April 22nd -  Last Senior Class Meeting – in Auditorium, period 3

                         Details about Graduation, All Night Party, Caps/Gowns, and

                         You vote for your Commencement Speaker!!!

     

    May 7th-24th -  IB exams, for you lucky ducks…

     

    May 1st: Declare Day!  Come down to the CCRC and sign our banner and tell us what you are doing next year (College, work, military, GAP year, etc).  We will take some pictures and after signing you will receive a donut J

     

    May 3-  Prom!    

     

    May 10 -  Senior Staff Basketball Game – period 7  -All Seniors invited-

     

    May 24– Identity Adornment form filled out, if wearing one for commencement – see Senior Class News page of highlandsr.spps.org  for link to required form, available May 1.

     

    May 24th– Valleyfair!!!!     (Forms and $ due in Main Office May 17)

     

    May 28- May 31st  -  Senior Week  

                <If wearing Identity Adornment for graduation, you must bring it to Esso and get it photographed and tagged, to get your Cap/Gown and tickets.  You can do this all of this week, or on Thursday morning, during the cap/gown distribution.>

    Thursday, May 30th:  Yearbooks, Caps/Gowns distributed

    8-9am, in Auditorium, with completed Graduation Passport & Survey

    Friday, May 31st:   Pancake Breakfast in the Field House for Seniors.

    June 4th - Commencement!!!!  

    REQUIRED GRADUATION PRACTICE

    11:00am – 12:30pm, at Roy Wilkins Auditorium (You must be at practice to walk  at graduation!!!Students provide their own transportation)

              Graduation:  5:30 pm, Roy Wilkins Auditorium

                            Graduates be there by 4:45!!!!!!  <It will be over by 7:00>

    Senior All Night Party – at HPSH, from 9:30pm to 5:00am

    Tickets for Commencement:  All graduates get 8 free tickets for family and friends.  Graduates do not need a ticket.  Tickets are distributed with Cap/Gown on  May 30th.  If handicap seating is needed, email Kimberly.esso@spps.org by May 28.

    Graduation for Class of 2019:  Tuesday, June 4, at 5:30pm, at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in downtown St Paul. 

    Required attendance at the Rehearsal at 11:00 at Roy Wilkins on the same day . You cannot walk if you miss rehearsal.

     

    Each graduating senior recieves 8 tickets.  They are general admission.  We did not receive any extra tickets, so if you are not using all of yours, please let Ms Esso know, so they can be redistributed.  If you need handicapped seating, contact Ms Esso, and she can get the tickets to the graudating senior at Graduation Rehearsal at 11am on Tuesday, June 4, at Roy Wilkins.

     

    Additionally, a $5 parking voucher will be distributed to all graduates during the practice on Tuesday, for the Victory Ramp.  

     

     

     

     

    New this year!  The SPPS School Board has approved the wearing of ethnic, cultural, or identity adornments at our graduation ceremonies.  This is an opportunity to celebrate your identity as part of our ceremony honoring your graduation. (see Examples of Adornments here) The adornment must be approved ahead of time, and meet certain size/material requirements.  To register your intent to wear an identity adornment, fill out THIS FORM by May 25.  You then must bring in the actual item to be approved, photographed, and tagged by Charlotte Landreau, during the week of May 29-31.  Dr Tucker is the ultimate authority on the approval, and students can appeal to him if desired.
