Ms. Paula Stone
Greetings JAJ Families!
My name is Paula Stone and I am excited to be co-teaching in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom this year. This is my 25th year teaching in St. Paul Public Schools. I received my B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin Stout in 1991 and completed my Masters in Early Childhood Special Education in 1994 from the University of Minnesota. During my time in St. Paul Public Schools I have had the honor of teaching in the early childhood special education program. I taught in a self contained early childhood special education classroom for 20 years and then joined the Early Childhood Special Education Inclusion Team, supporting students with special education needs in their Pre-Kindergarten program. This is my second year co-teaching at JAJ in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom along with Ms. Nicole.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I have two sons, Jake who attends the Universtiy of Minnesota and Bryce who just started high school and is in the 9th grade. My husband Dan is also a teacher. In the spring and summer you will find me out in my gardens and in the winter curled up with a good book.
I truly enjoy working with our youngest learners. They are so energetic and excited to learn. I feel honored to be able to work with your child and look forward to building not only a positive relationship with them but also you, their family. Together we will lay the foundational skills they will need to become life long learners!
