Terri Ann Flynn has worked in the Saint Paul Public Schools for eight years; three of them at EXPO Elementary School. She received her Bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of Saint Catherine and her Master of Arts in Human Development from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. In addition to her degrees she also is a Certified Colorpuncture Practitioner.
When not in the classroom, she likes to spend time with her large extended family celebrating life. Terri Ann enjoys running with her yellow labs, hiking in the woods and going to State/National Parks with family and friends in their RV. She also likes to read, do yoga, design jewelry, watch good movies and do energy therapy work with others.
Terri Ann lives in Minneapolis with her husband and dogs - Sam and Will. She loves being a grandmother and watching her two sons and incredible daughters-in-law create intentional and meaningful lives. Terri Ann’s nest has never been empty. Guests and grandchildren, special dinners and sleepovers, toys and books, and the ‘next great adventure’ still fill her family home.
Terri Ann appreciates what she sees happening at EXPO Elementary School. “It takes a village” is a truism here. The entire staff strives to focus on the whole child. They do this day-in and day-out as a team. Parents in this school community participate in their child’s education. They ‘show up’ for them at home and in school. There is a sense in the building of high expectations and high adventures. The students are brought along to believe in themselves, to claim and hone their skills and then rise to be their best. Staff and parents and students all grow and shine here together.
