The goal of the PYP is to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who can help create a better and more peaceful world through their actions. The PYP provides a framework for organizing curriculum and delivering instruction in classrooms.
There are six Transdisciplinary Themes students will participate in throughout their PYP education and these include:
- Who we are.
- Where we are in place and time.
- How we express ourselves.
- How the world works.
- How we organize ourselves.
- Sharing the planet.
These themes help teachers prepare programs of inquiry within their classrooms and develop students ability to inquire about the world around them.
