Thanksgiving is being recognized on Thursday, Nov. 24 and Saint Paul Public Schools will be closed Nov. 24-25. It is common for local organizations to serve free or low costs holiday meals on Thanksgiving.Union Gospel Mission: Throughout the year the Union Gospel Mission serves a hearty meal for people in need. This year its annual Thanksgiving dinner is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the upstairs chapel of the Men’s campus (435 University Ave. E., St. Paul).
