    Saint Paul Public Schools is nationally recognized as a leader in public education. Its reputation is the result of hard work and creativity involving students, families, the community and district leadership.

    The seven-member Board of Education is the governing body of the Saint Paul Public Schools.

    The Board of Education appoints a Superintendent who is responsible for the general supervision of the school district by appointing Cabinet members to carry out the district's strategic plan, Strong Schools, Strong Communities.

    The Superintendent works through the Office of Leadership Development (OLD) to develop instructional, racial equity, and servant leaders to have the will, skill, knowledge and capacity to raise achievement for all students.
