Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Lisa Engelstad and I am SO excited to be working at Murray this year! I will be working primarily with students with the last names of N-Z in grades 6-8.
I have been a School Counselor in St. Paul for 16 years. My experiences include elementary, middle and high school counseling. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and then went on to obtain my Masters degree in School Counseling at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls as well. Additionally, I feel that professional development is critical and have obtained certificates in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Bullying Prevention. As a result of the passage of the Safe and Supportive Schools Act in April of 2014, I also participate as an advocate for bullying prevention since I am a member of the School Safety Technical Assistance Council that was established at the Minnesota Department of Education.
