Saint Paul Public Schools Grants Office
The SPPS Grants Department supports the district’s teachers, school leaders and administrators through all stages of the grants process. From fund development to program creation and proposal writing, from application submission to budgeting and grant management; the Grants team possesses the knowledge and expertise to navigate the world of fundraising.
Last year, we raised $14.3 million to implement innovative programs toward the common purpose of providing a premier education for all.
The majority of this money, earned from competitive grants issued by government agencies or through the generosity of local partner foundations, went to district-wide initiatives designed in alignment with the district’s strategic plan.
Local foundations also offer smaller grant opportunities to individual teachers or schools. These grants can be used to pay for books, microscopes, field trips, musical instruments, artists-in-residence, alternative curricula and more. Teachers and administrators interested in applying for grants are encouraged to contact us early in the process; collaboration makes the best possible application.
