In recent months, Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) has gathered community feedback to guide its efforts in the search for the next superintendent.
SPPS and its search firm, Ray and Associates, conducted a survey between Dec. 15, 2016 and Jan. 23, 2017. The district also hosted four meetings for parents, students, staff and the community to gather additional feedback. Another meeting included all members of the district’s various Parent Advisory Councils.
Feedback from the community meetings and the survey will be used in two ways and will be included in a Superintendent Profile:
- To identify the top qualities the community is looking for in a new superintendent to assist in recruitment of candidates.
- To inform the Board and influence their decision on finalists, and ultimately their selection for superintendent.
