    Parents/Guardians are welcome to visit and/or participate in classroom activities during the school hours - from 9:30 to 1:30 PM.

    Visit need to be scheduled and approved by the corrections' shift supervisor. 
    Interested parents/guardians need to contact the school Parent Liaison (651-266-5245). The Parent Liaison will coordiante with the shift supervisor.

    If needed, the school is able to provide transportation to and from the school. 

    Parents/Guardians must abide by the BTT visitation guidelines:  All visitors must present photo identification (e.g., driver’s license, state ID, passport, work ID). Please do not bring any clothing, money or hygiene products into the facility. All hygiene is provided, including culturally specific and appropriate skin care and hair care products along with any assistance necessary to maintain an acceptable level of personal hygiene.

    Regular BTT visiting hours are: Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Sunday from 12:45 to 2:45 PM.
    The school is not able to provide transporation on non-school days. 

    Parent/Guardian Involvement Opportunities: 

    Fall / Spring Conferences: 
    Parents are strongly encourage to meet their child's teachers and receive updates on their child's school performance. A joint school / corrections program provides an enjoyable social opportunity for students to celebrate their successes. 

    African American / Parent Involvement Day:
    Hosted in the month of February, during Black History Month, Parents/Guardians are treated to an inspirational luncheon of featured community guests and aspiring student voices. Parents are treated to a bountiful ethno-centric lunch, celebrated community voices, and local talent.

    School Leadership / School Voice:

    During the student's 6-month residence, parent/guardian voice is at welcomed by the school administration and staff. Interested parents/guardians need to contact the school administration to express an interest in meeting and having input on shaping the school program. Leadership participation includes working with staff on the development of the school's continous improvement plan (also knowns as SCIP). 


    Juvenile Detention Center

    Parent/Guardian school visits and involvement opportunities are not available.
