My name is Meghan Baldwin and I teach first grade at Highland Park Elementary.
I have been teaching in St. Paul Public Schools since the fall of 2011. This will be my third year at Highland Park Elementary. I LOVE teaching and am very excited to watch your children grow academically and socially throughout the year. I cannot wait to meet your children and partner with parents to create a wonderful year of growth and learning!
Here is a little bit about myself:
I graduated from St. Catherine University in December of 2005 and since then have finished my Masters of Education: Elementary Education in May of 2011. I am licensed for Elementary grades K - 5 and Science 5 - 8. I have a wonderful husband named Andrew. This summer we celebrated our 10th anniversary. We live in St. Paul with our two children ages 6 and 4. Both of our children will be attending HPE this fall (first grade and preschool). In my free time I love to go on adventures with my family to the Children’s Museum, parks in the area, Tamarack Nature Center and camping. I also like to run, bake, knit and read. My husband’s family lives in Oregon so we also travel there throughout the year and as a family we love going to the ocean and exploring.
Goals for the year:
My goal for this year is to help your child grow as a learner and find delight in the world around them! There is so much we will learn not only academically but socially and the world around us. Everyday is an opportunity to learn something new!
I will work hard to make sure that I am doing everything in my power to be the teacher your child deserves. Please feel free to call, email, or visit school to chat about your child's progress, ideas, insigts, concerns or excting things that are happening in your family.
