Mme. Michelle Leon

Michelle Leon is the Special Education teacher at both campuses of L'Etoile du Nord French Immersion (LNFI). She has worked in the district for seven years, and this is her forth year at LNFI. Michelle holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College, and earned her teaching licensure in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and as an Academic and Behavoral Strategist from the University of St. Thomas. 

Michelle is also a writer and musician who loves to incorperate the arts into her teaching. In the summer, she loves to travel in her vintage Airstream trailer with her family. Michelle lives on the east side of St. Paul in the Dayton's Bluff neighborhood with her husband, son and two dogs.

Michelle believes that working with students with a variety of learning styles is an honor, and developing strategies to support their individual needs and personalities brings her a lot of joy.
