Welcome to the Office of College and Career Readiness

  • The Office of College and Career Readiness (OCCR) works to encourage SPPS students of all ages to understand that preparation for greatness in college, career, and/or community is achievable with the right planning, preparation, support, and accountability. SPPS students benefit from our strong school counseling program, the creation of personal learning plans (PLPs), a wide array of post-secondary partnerships and invaluable opportunities allowing them to explore career and technical education.

Saint Paul Public Schools is proud to be one of only a few urban school districts in the nation where students can earn 12 free college credits (and sometimes more) while in high school.

Career Pathway Centers

  • Career Pathway Centers are managed by SPPS counselors and AchieveMpls coordinators. Students can get help on planning for after high school by connecting with the Career Pathway Center coordinator or counselor at their high school. The Career Pathway Center website has resources to help students explore career paths, apply for college and financial aid, find internships, and more!
