Welcome to the Office of College and Career Readiness

Gateway Students Earn Diplomas and College Credit
The Gateway to College program gives SPPS students a second chance for earning a high school diploma while obtaining college credits. Through a partnership with Saint Paul College, students who are behind on high school credits or not on track for graduation are provided support for high school graduation and success in college. This year, Gateway students earned more than 600 college credits in addition to their high school diplomas.
  • The Office of College and Career Readiness (OCCR) works to encourage SPPS students of all ages to understand that preparation for greatness in college, career, and/or community is achievable with the right planning, preparation, support, and accountability. SPPS students benefit from our strong school counseling program, the creation of personal learning plans (PLPs), a wide array of post-secondary partnerships and invaluable opportunities allowing them to explore career and technical education.
