Welcome to Phalen Lake!
  • Nyob Zoo Sawv Daws! Kuv yog Maiv Lig Xyooj, tus Lwm Tswj tshiab rau xyoo no. Txawm tias txoj hawj lwm no tshiab rau kuv, los nej sawv daws twb pom pom kuv dua lawm. Tau 15 lub xyoo no, kuv yeej tau ua hauj lwm nyob rau tom Phalen Lake no thiab. Kuv tau ua xib fwb thiab tus neeg los pab saib xyuas cov ntaub ntawv rau peb txoj kev kawm Keeb Kwm Hmoob thiab Lus Hmoob. Txawm tias kuv tuav txoj hauj lwm twg, los kuv yeej zoo zoo siab heev tias kuv tau ua hauj lwm nyob rau ib lub tsev kawm ntawv uas pom tias Hmoob lus, Hmoob txuj, thiab Hmoob keeb kwm muaj nuj nqi heev. Kuv ntseeg tau tias yog peb xav kom peb cov me tub me nyuam mus kom deb, peb yuav tsum tau qhia lawv tias lawv yog leej twg. Ua li, lawv thiaj li ua dab tsi, los ua tau. Ntsib leej twg, los thiaj qhib siab hlo cog phooj ywg.

Hello families! My name is May Lee Xiong and I have the privilege of being the new Assistant Principal at Phalen Lake Hmong Studies Magnet. Although this is my first year as an Assistant Principal, I have been at Phalen Lake for the past 15 years. I have worked as a classroom teacher, ELL teacher, Specialist teacher, the Hmong Studies Curriculum Coordinator, and most recently as the Hmong Dual Immersion Coach. Regardless of my roles over the years, the favorite part of my job is being a part of such a wonderful learning community. Phalen Lake has been such an affirming place of growth, care, and learning for me. I look forward to a wonderful new school year with our students, families, staff, and community members!
