  • SPPS Teacher Named Minnesota World Language Teacher of the Year

    Maureen Elwell Peltier, a French teacher at Central Senior High School, has been named Minnesota’s World Language Teacher of the Year by the Minnesota Council of the Teaching of Languages and Cultures. Maureen has been in education for 35 years and has a long résumé of accomplishments that include a Fulbright teacher exchange in Belgium, summer study at the Université Laval in Québec, a Master's degree in the Teaching of Languages and Cultures and a K-12 administration license.

  • SPPS Student Receives Legion of Valor Bronze Cross Award

    Como Park Senior High School student William Farley was recently inducted into an elite club. The Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) cadet received the Legion of Valor Bronze Cross award during a school assembly attended by his family, school staff and fellow cadets.
