Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Sarah Bosch - Science Teacher
I started teaching science in 2003. I have a Masters of Education with a focus on Natural Science and Environmental Education from Hamline University. I am proud to participate in challenging science teacher training called STeLLA and I now facilitate for other science teachers.
I love science, I love kids, and I love being an elementary science teacher. A favorite part of my job is when kids bring science discoveries to school to show me. Every rock a child finds is special. I started at Horace Mann Elementary in 2018 and I love working with this amazing community.
My goals are to help kids engage in the work of being a scientist by asking questions and using observations to answer thier questions. I love helping kids explore their curiosity.
Students come to my class on a schedule that rotates with Physical Education and Art.
I use the state standards to guide the topics I teach. Big themes are using science inquiry for students to make their own discoveries and giving every class an oppoprtunity to experince the full enginering process. I have FOSS science kits as a resource for my curriculum.
