Ms. Allison Wood
This is Ms. Wood’s 16th year as an EL teacher and her fifth year at EXPO Elementary School. Allison holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family and Consumer Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received her licensure and Master of Arts in Teaching Degree from Hamline University.
Outside of school, Ms. Wood enjoys reading, shopping and spending time outdoors. She loves to travel with her family and spends most school breaks in Door County, Wisconsin or southern Florida. Allison likes coffee, Peloton classes, movies and singing loudly in her car. Allison is also a children's book author. Her first book, Sprinkles, was released in June, 2022.
Allison’s husband, Chris, is also an educator with SPPS. They have a 13-year old son named William and a rescue dog named Audrey Pearl. Ms. Wood and her family reside in the Northeast metro area.
Ms. Wood is excited to be a part of the academic and social growth that students will experience this school year. She enjoys partnering with EXPO Elementary students, families, staff and community.
