Mrs. Greenwalt’s 5th Grade

A Place to BELONG, A Place to BECOME

Welcome to your child’s 5th grade year.  I am so excited for our year to begin!  We are going to have a great time in our class and we are going to learn so much together. We will all be working together as a team with a common goal that goal is to educate and nurture your son or daughter. 5th grade will be a challenging year requiring much more independence and rigor from your child.  The rewards for active participation in your child’s education are hard to see on a day to day basis, but they will manifest themselves down the road, I assure you!

My classroom will be a nurturing and safe learning environment for your child to grow.  It is my hope that your child has an extremely positive year filled, not only with tremendous growth, but a lot of joy and laughter as well. I will do everything to make this possible!

Parents, I am here for you and your child should you have any questions or concerns.  Please contact me via email as I am able to read and answer throughout the day.  In an emergency, please call the office at 651-325-2500 and have them deliver a message to the classroom.

Thank you so much for your help and support, please don't hesitate to contact me at any time.  My door is always open.

 A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

I have taught for 9 years. Three years at Jackson Magnet  1998-2003 and six years guest teaching here at Capitol Hill.  I am thrilled to be teaching 5th grade this year!  My husband, Nathan, and I have three kids Noah (15), Noelle (13), Nora (12).  I have been a CH parent for 10 years. My son is in 10th grade and my girls (7th & 8th) attend Capitol Hill.  In my spare time, I love to be outside, garden, walk, run, sing, travel and spend time with my family.
