Welcome to another year of OT Literacy at Global Arts Plus...even though it will start out a little different. I am looking forward to exploring Distance Learning 2.0 with my reading students. We will be working in small groups and working hard to share our thinking about reading together. 

I will be holding virtual office hours Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 1:30-2:30. Access to my virtual office will be communicated to students via our Schoology course. 

I have worked in different parts of the country and I could not be happier to spend another year working with St. Paul's young people. I have done many different things in schools over the past fourteen years. Being a reading teacher is my favorite and most important work I have done. 

I work to create an environment for reading students where they can be comfortable, focused, and really explore their reading lives. I will be working with readers to create these spaces in their own homes until we can be together again. 

Students' reading lives develop best with support at home. I would like to encourage loving adults to talk to their students about reading...anything about reading! Favorite books, reading challenges, reading habits, anything about reading. Anything to show students that literacy is a valuable and important skill for success.
