Ms. Lisa Koelfgen-Faust
My name is Lisa Koelfgen-Faust and I teach Health Education, Teen Issues and Healthy Living at HPPA. I have been in the district for 28 years and graduated from St. Thomas University in 1987. I am a licensed teacher in Elementary Education, Health Education and a Drug and Alcohol counselor.I enjoy spending time with family and friends, participating in outdoor fitness activities such as hiking and running. My passion is gardening and I love the changes in the seasons.I am looking forward to a great school year!
Health class will provide information and experiences to motivate students to maintain mental, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual well-being. It is our hope that all students will develop a greater understanding of what it takes to develop a healthy lifestyle, to develop behavioral patterns that are personally and socially responsible, and to avoid actions that are harmful to themselves and others.
Teen Issues will provide students with knowledge, attitudes, and skills to make healthy decisions for life-long health and wellness. This course specifically will focus on the top challenges that youth face today.
Healthy Living class will focus on the lifelong health benefits of being physically active, along with nutritional guidelines and social wellbeing.
