Mary Frances Clardy is a veteran teacher who has spent her career serving students in Saint Paul Public Schools. She served for ten years as a literacy content coach. In that role, her primary responsibility was the oversight and implementation of a school's reading and writing programs. . She also coached her fellow teachers on best instructional practices. Prior to assuming that role she served as an elementary school teacher for 10 years. Currently she is teaching students identified as Gifted and Talented, Pre-K-5 Enrichment strategies and skills.
She is currently a gubernatorial appointee to Minnesota Board of School Administrators and previously on The Minnesota Board of Teaching. In addition, she is a School Board Director for school Independent School district 199. Clardy holds a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on elementary reading. Furthermore, she was honored by receiving an Educator of Excellence Award.
