I am a native of St. Paul and product of St. Paul Public Schools. A a youth, I attended Webster Elemetary, Como Jr. High and St. Paul Central.  I was recognized All district city swimmer for Central and a member of the winning champion Track team. After graduating Central in 1969, I left to attend college at Tennessee State University.   During my days in the south I was active in the desgreagtion and civil rights movement and eventually joined the FOI and the Nation Of Isam.

My professional carreer included working for Ramsey Action Programs, the Urban League and the IBM Corporation.  In Febrary 1981., I fouded the New World Rading Company, Inc. organized for the purpose of International and domestic sales and service.  NWTCo., Inc eventually became a exporter of Dairy animals to Korea and Taipai, ROC.  In addition, NWTCO, Inc. served the local contract market and a purveyor of FLoor coverings and related services.  Projects such as the Ordway Music Theater,  Prudential Business Campus, St. Paul Public Schools and Honeywell Corporation were among my accomplishments.  NWTCo, Inc. remains a charterd corporation in the State of Minnesota.

In 2010, I became passionate about justice for juvenilles which evetually lead me to the conclusion that teaching was the best way to be instrumental in helping young peolpe make better decisions.  I inquired about and eventually enrolled in the Urban Teacher program at Metropolitan State University and earned my Bachelor of Science Degree with an emphsis in Urban Education in 2014.

The 2018-2019 marks my 5th year of teaching with 4 of those years spent with St. Paul Public schools.  THe first three years were spent at Hazel Park Preparatory Academy.  THis is my first year as a member of the Social Studies department at Como.  I teach 10th grade Human Geography.

I am more than excited to serve the students and look forward to each and everyday being in this building and a active member of the Como Senior High community.
