    Greetings, Dayton’s Bluff families!

I have been an educator since 1989 and started teaching at Dayton's Bluff in 2019. I’ve taught in the classroom, the public library and (primarily) in school libraries.  Most of my work was in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Lots of changes in my life led me to Minnesota and I’ve worked for the school districts of Owatonna, Osseo, Robbinsdale and Anoka.  I am so happy to now be a part of the Dayton’s Bluff community!

My first college degree is in theater arts. I have acted in over 50 plays and directed several also (Pippin, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Into the Woods and most recently, Mother Wove the Morning to name a few). I’ve worked for two children’s theater companies, improvising shows about real life and make believe worlds.

I earned a B.S. in Elementary Education in 1984 and taught fourth grade for several years. I also worked on the radio and then at a public library and finally decided to return to college once again for a master’s degree.

I have certifications in elementary education and library media in 2003. All of my degrees are from UW-Eau Claire.

Many of my family members were or are  educators including my great grandpa, my grandma, my mom, dad and both sisters.  I love to teach because I love children and the amazing worlds of potential inside each of them.  Besides theater, I enjoy yoga, NIA, swimming, dancing, reading, cooking, gardening, singing, making crafts, learning about cultures, sending cards and being outside in nature.

    I have two grown children.

Degrees and Certifications: BA - Theater Arts (UW Eau Claire), BS - Elementary Education (UW Eau Claire), MEPD - Education, Library Media Certification (UW Eau Claire)
