We will still be accepting paper box tops in the mailbox by the door, but Box Tops is changing the way they do things.
Instead of clipping and bringing in box tops, all you have to do is download the app, add our school (Nokomis Montessori School) and scan your reciept.

We know that not everyone likes to go to meetings, but that there are many of you that still want to help! The PTO has decided to establish a set of sub-committees to help PTO meetings to run faster and to allow busy parents a way to help out where they are able and utilize the special skills and passions that they may have! Sub-committes will meet outside of organized PTO meetings or will communicate with each other via email and text message. You may join, several or all of the committees that you have interest in!
We have four sub-committees established at this time:
- Helps to develop the budget and decide where the allocated money will be used within the school and PTO setting
-Help develop a mission statement and a set of by-laws to help organize the structure of the PTO
- Help plan and coordinate the various events sponsored by the PTO. Events may or may not include things like Fall Festival, E2 fun fair, game nights, movie nights, ice cream social. Volunteers may designate which events they are most interested in.
Fund Raising Committee
- Helps to coordinate and set up various fund raisers for the PTO and school, including calling restaurants, setting up selling opportunitie and partnering with the event comittee to add fund raisers to the events.

In the past, Nokomis Montessori has had a joint PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) between North and South Campus. In 2019 with the hiring of a Principal in each building we have decided to move forward with a PTO at each site - one for North and one for South. We honor and celebrate the great work our split-buildings have done together, and are excited for our new journey forward.
The Nokomis North PTO hosts many community events and supports classrooms through fundraising. We begin the year with Back To School Night, host Fall Festival, support Parent-Teacher Conferences with a potluck for all staff, as well as support classrooms by funding field-trips. We have many opportunities for volunteering and involvement and we welcome all voices and ideas! Please join us when you can - we value every perspective and idea to help support this beautiful community.

All PTO meetings will take place the first Monday of every month from 6-7:30pm in the Science room.
Food and childcare for school-aged children is always provided.
