Lora Horan-Kimsal, MSW, LICSW

I am a social worker in the Special Education Department at Highland Park Senior High School. I have worked for Saint Paul Public Schools since 1999 where I have served as an elementary teacher, school social worker, and trauma informed coach. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in teaching from the University of Wyoming and my Master of Social Work degree from St. Kate's. I hold a clinical licensure in social work as well as licensure in school social work. My professional interests include special education, mental health, trauma informed care, and the use of therapeutic art, yoga, and mindfulness in the school setting.

I enjoy seeing live music, reading, traveling, knitting, and most of all enjoy spending time with family and friends.

RentHelpMN is Now Open for Applications
Minnesota Housing is pleased to announce that RentHelpMN is now open and accepting applications. RentHelpMN makes it possible for eligible renters to get caught up on overdue rent and utilities dating back to March 13, 2020. It also makes provisions for those at risk of falling behind on rent payments due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Please note that RentHelpMN is in Phase One, in which people with past due rent who meet eligibility requirements are invited to apply.
