Student Loan Forgiveness

  • Did you know that if you have student loans and work for Saint Paul Public Schools, you may be eligible to participate in a Loan Forgiveness Program?

SPPS is pleased to have assistance from Gary Havir, of Horace Mann Insurance, in helping our teachers and staff review the loan programs to see if they can qualify, save money, and invest in their futures.

Want to know if you qualify?

Click here to complete a short form and get a personalized recommendation for your situation: Use “Gary Havir” as your Agent’s name. Gary will contact you for a personalized review on how you may be eligible to save.

Once you’ve reviewed your options and are ready to apply, download the forms, and forward them to Gina Carlson in the Human Resources department for completion at regina.carlson@spps.org or bring them to the Human Resources department at 360 Colborne Street. Forms are sent back to you after completion for you to submit to your lender or Loan Forgiveness company.

Loan Forgiveness is tricky – companies are extra particular about the forms. In order to expedite the processing and make sure that all of your information is correct before submitting to Human Resources:

Click HERE to view the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) form – ONLY complete highlighted information on your application.
