Welcome to the Intervention Page!
My name is Carolyn Chisholm, and I am an intervention teacher at Highwood Hills. I started teaching in 2006, and have taught in St. Paul and Los Angeles. I am also a proud graduate of St. Paul Public Schools. I have a B.A. in Elementary education from the University of Minnesota Duluth, and I am finishing a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of the People.
When I am not at school, I enjoy time with my husband, Luis, son, Manny, daughter, Lella, and dog, Mak. We love to spend time outside, read books, and listen to music.
This is my fourth year at Highwood Hills, and I love being part of this community. My typical day consists of Learning Lab, Reading Intervention, PreK Specialist time, and collaborating with our tutor from Minnesota Reading Corps. I am very excited to connect with everyone when we return to the building, but until then you can reach me at email@example.com.
I typically go by Mrs. Kaylie, and I am the Intervention Specialist for Highwood Hills. I graduated with my B.S. in Developmental Psychology and am expected to graduate with my MEd. in School Counseling in the spring of 2022. I have been working with students for many years as a tutor, a group leader, a mentor and now an Intervention Specialist.
This is my second year in the St. Paul School District and my first year at Highwood Hills! My current focus is with K-5 math support groups, education intervention, behavioral interventions, and various circumstances that require unique interventions. I also work with the Minnesota Math Corps tutor with us this year.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your student, or if I can assist with finding resources to help your family during this unprecedented time, please do not hesitate to reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
