Welcome to the Highland Park Elementary Library
Greetings HPE families,
Welcome back to the building! We have missed you. Every student will be able to check out library books during this time. Any student can request books through our library catalog at any time. Books will be delivered to the classroom. Our students in preschool through 2nd grade will be able to select books from a cart that will be brought into the classroom.
Curbside pickup of items will also be available on Wednesdays for those students who are in the Virtual Learning School at Highland Park Elementary. Students/Families in VLS can visit mylibrary.spps.org or tap on the Destiny icon on their school issued ipad to request specific books for pick-up at school on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. We will offer curbside pick-up once per week on Wednesdays. Requests should be made by 10 a.m. on Tuesdays to have books available on Wednesdays. We will send out confirmation emails on Tuesday afternoons to let you know your requests have been filled. Please only come to pick-up library materials if you have received a confirmation email. We encourage you to use this service to get recreational/independent reading materials for your child(ren). Curbside pick-up will be at our front entrance on Saunders on Wednesdays from 10 am unti 5 pm. Books will be in bags, in alphabetical order by last name, on a cart at the front door. Please press the button at the front door to gain entrance. Depending on the weather, the cart may be outside for your convenience. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing at the pick-up location.
Students/Families in Pre-K - 5 may also use this form, Book Bundle, to request a collection of books.
