Journeys Community Based Transition

  • We offer an education tailored for your individual needs.  There are two unique paths to graduation for students in the program.

One path includes working in competitive employment, exploring training opportunities, learning skills to be independent and preparing students for post-secondary options if appropriate.

The second path is for students who are not yet ready for competitive employment.  In this path students will work in the PAES lab to assess employability skills, work on the independent living skills, and work with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation for ongoing adult employment support.

In each path there is access to mental health resources and any other recourse students may need to achieve their highest level of independence as they enter adulthood. Of course, no two students are alike and these paths can be blended and changed as our team gets to know students and students grow and mature.
