Hello! My name is Kim Johnson (Ms. Kim) and I am so excited to be a Minnesota Reading Corps Scholar Coach this year. I will be working with Ms. Gifford's 2nd Grade classroom.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and spent many years in an advertising and marketing career. I felt the need for a fulfilling change and became part of Reading Corps in 2018. I began as a reading tutor at Benjamin E. Mays IB World School, and am now a Scholar Coach at Mays.

In addition to assisting generally in the classroom, as a Reading Corps Scholar Coach I will be meeting with 5-7 students, one-on-one, daily through Google Meet to perform reading interventions. I am really looking forward to helping students succeed and become even better readers!
