Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Education
Ms. Harley Braun
This is my second year teaching, and I am so excited to continue working at Highland Park Senior High School! Students who take classes in the agriculture, food, and natural resources (AFNR) department will learn about the all areas of agriculture, including food production, floral design, plant science, natural resources, leadership. communication, business, and the environment. Depending on their chosen course, students will learn hands-on skills such as how to grow and propagate plants, how to create intricate floral designs, or how to be a leader in their communities.
I understand the complexity and difficulties the past few years have brought, which is why I hope my classes are fun, engaging, and encourage students to study topics that interest them.
I am originally from a small town in Southwestern Minnesota called Sleepy Eye. I moved to the Twin Cities to earn my Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Education at the University of Minnesota. I currently live in St. Paul with my husband. I love biking, kayaking, eating ice cream, and gardening. I am also interested in fermentation, abolition, soils, labor rights, and educational theory.
