Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Education

Ms. Harley Braun

This is my first year teaching, and I am so excited to start out my career at Highland Park Senior High School! Students who take classes in the agriculture department will learn about the all areas of agriculture, including food production, animal care, floral design, plant science, natural resources, and the environment. Depending on their chosen course, students will learn hands on skills such as how to grow and propagate plants, how to create intricate floral designs, or how to care for small animals.

I understand the complexity and difficulties this year will bring, which is why I hope my classes are fun, engaging, and encourage students to study topics that interest them.

I am originally from a small town in Southwestern Minnesota called Sleepy Eye. I moved to the Twin Cities to earn my Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Education at the University of Minnesota. I currently live in St. Paul with my partner. I love biking, kayaking, eating ice cream, and gardening. I am also interested in fermentation, abolition, soils, labor rights, and educational theory.
