Hello, my name is Coach Allen Atkins.  I have been teaching secondary school for 15 years and this will be my first year teaching in Minnesota.  I graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a degree in History/Secondary Education.  After moving to Georgia, I received my Physical Education teaching certificate.  Aside from teaching, another passion of mine is basketball.  I have had the pleasure of coaching boys and girls basketball for as long as I have been teaching.

This year I will be teaching 6th, 7th and 8th grade Physical Education.  I am deeply honored and excited to be part of the Ramsey Middle School Staff and can't wait to finally be able to meet all my students.  I hope to create a fun, safe and educating environment for all my students to enjoy old and new physical activities.

When I am not doing my teacher duties, I am usually spending time with my wife, daughter and our dog.  As stated before, I enjoy playing basketball in my free time and occassionally (meaning a lot) getting on my PlayStation.

I am hoping to learn as much from you as you do from me.  Remember all that I want from you in P.E. is to give your best effort and have fun!!
