My name is Kelsey Crusinberry, but I go by Ms. Kelsey during the school day. I am the ESL Teacher for 7th and 8th grade students at Parkway and primarily co-teach with science and social studies in the Treehouse and Northshore Science Classrooms. I am committed to helping students access and understand the academic language they need to be successful in the area of science (and all content area classes).
This is my second year at Parkway and also my second year teaching. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French from Luther College in 2010 and recently finished my K-12 ESL Licensure at Hamline University. For the past 5 years I have worked with middle school and high school students in the St. Croix Valley, developing student leaders and leading service-learning experiences for youth in the area. Prior to that I spent a year in South Korea teaching English at an all-boys high school, served as a reserve teacher for the Minneapolis school district and completed a year of service with the St. Joseph Worker Program in South Minneapolis.
I am excited to begin my teaching journey at Parkway and look forward to learning and growing alongside the students and staff in this community.
