My name is Polly Neumann. The students call me Ms Polly. I am so pleased to be returning to Parkway for a third year. I am a special education teacher who primarily co-teaches Pre-Algebra and Algebra. I have taught for over 25 years and absolutely love working with middle school students. For 2 years, I was the Positive Behavior Support Staff for an urban middle school in Madison, WI.
I grew up in Milwaukee and moved to Madison for a new position in retail management. After having my 2 children, I decided that I wanted to do something that made a positive impact on society. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated with a degree in Rehab-psychology and Special Education. I have continued graduate studies at Concordia and Edgewood Colleges. Teaching was an easy choice. My father was a principal in Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) and my mother was a para-professional for MPS. I have 5 siblings who also worked for MPS, So the love of education runs in the family.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, walking my dog and cooking. My happy place, (when I am not in school), is any cabin on any lake.
I am looking forward to another great year of learning and fun with your child/children.
