Ms. Wei Jiang
Hi, 4th & 5th graders, families and friends,
Ni Hao! This is Jiang Laoshi (姜老师). You may click the blue Chinese character and learn how to write it. Hope you will like it~
I was born and grew up in the Northeast part of China. Winter is my favorite season, and I love every snowy day! I moved to Minnesota with my awesome husband for the snow in winter (Yeah! Snow~). I have a sweet toddler daughter who enjoys exploring everything. I am a train lover. I also like pizza, picnic, and BBQ.
This is my 12th year working as a teacher. In 2008, I obtained my teaching licensure in China and started my career as an English teacher at a foreign language college in China. Six years later, I moved to America and worked as a second-grade homeroom teacher at Yinghua Academy, a Chinese Immersion school at Minneapolis, for five years. I'm working on my MAT program at Concordia University now and will graduate with a master's degree in teaching next year.
It's my great honor to join Jie Ming and be your child's teacher. I will be the 4B homeroom teacher this year. At the same time, I will teach 4th & 5th graders Chinese language skills, reading & writing. The teaching experience in China and America has broadened my horizon and enriched my view of seeing the world. I hope to share with my students the beauty of ancient Chinese culture while learning Chinese and grow together with them.
I have high expectations for my students, and I'm looking forward to a successful year. I will be more than happier to collaborate with you and together we will help students grow to the best of themselves every single day.
