Ms. Wei Jiang
Hi, 4th graders, families, and friends,
Ni Hao! I am Jiang Laoshi (姜老师). (You may click the blue Chinese character and learn how to write it. Hope you will like it~)
I was born and grew up in the Northeast part of China. Winter is my favorite season, and I love every snowy day! I moved to Minnesota with my awesome husband for the snow in winter in 2013 (Yeah! Snow~). I have a sweet toddler daughter who enjoys exploring everything. I am a train lover. I also like pizza, picnics, and BBQ. I am learning how to garden and take care of a house. If you have any great ideas, I will really appreciate your sharing them. :)
I started my teaching career in 2008. Back then, I obtained my teaching licensure in China and started my career as an English teacher at a foreign language college. Six years later, I moved to America and worked as a second-grade homeroom teacher at another Chinese Immersion school in Minneapolis, for five years.
I joined Jie Ming in 2020. I'm working on my MAT program at Concordia University now and will graduate with a master's degree in teaching in 2022.
It's my great honor to be your child's 4th-grade Chinese teacher. I will teach 4th graders Chinese language skills, reading & writing. The teaching experience in China and America has broadened my horizon and enriched my view of seeing the world. I hope to share with my students the beauty of ancient Chinese culture while learning Chinese and grow together with them.
I have high expectations for my students, and I'm looking forward to a successful year. I will be more than happier to collaborate with you and together we will help students grow to the best of themselves every single day. Click HERE for a short video about me.
