Ms. Wei Jiang
Hi, 4th graders, families, and friends,
Ni Hao! I am Jiang Laoshi (姜老师). It's my great honor to be your child's 4th-grade Chinese teacher. I graduated from Concordia University with a master degree in teaching. I will teach 4th graders Chinese language skills, reading & writing this year.
I was born and grew up in the Northeast part of China. Winter is my favorite season, and I love every snowy day! I moved to Minnesota for snow in 2013 (Yeah! Snow~). I have an awesome husband who always supports me and a sweet toddler daughter who enjoys exploring everything. I am a train lover. I also like pizza, picnics, and BBQ. I enjoy writing Chinese calligraphy and playing with my family.
I started my teaching career as an English teacher at a foreign language college in China in 2008. Six years later, I moved to America and became a Chinese teacher at Yinghua Academy, which is also a Chinese immersion school in Minneapolis, for five years. I joined Jie Ming and started teaching 4th grade Chinese in 2020.
The teaching experience in China and America has broadened my horizon and enriched my view of seeing the world. I hope to share with my students the beauty of ancient Chinese culture while learning and growing up with them.
I have high expectations for my students, and I'm looking forward to a successful year. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I will be more than happier to collaborate with you and together we will help students grow to better themselves.
Let's have some fun learning Chinese this year!
Sincerely,
Jiang Laoshi
