Welcome to Early Childhood Special Education!
Hello and welcome to ECSE. My name is Renee Kaeding, and I am the ECSE teacher at Eastern Heights Elementary. I started teaching the Self-Contained Early Childhood Special Education class in 2019. I currently live with my family in Somerset, Wisconsin but was born and raised in a suburb of St. Paul. After graduating from Stillwater Area High School, I attended the University of Minnesota, Duluth where I earned my Bachelor of Applied Science in Elementary Education. After earning my degree, I spent the next twenty years serving children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Over the years my positions within that company gradually removed me from working with our residents and instead saw me supervising employees. I missed working with children and decided it was time to return to school to earn my Masters of Science in Early Childhood Special Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I have a love for helping children learn and grow and am happy to be part of the dedicated team of professionals at Eastern Heights. I look forward to meeting and working with you and your child.
