Ms. Xiong is a Special Education Teaching Assistant at Wellstone Elementary. She began working at the school in 2018 after completing her student teaching at Saint Anthony Park Elementary School. Paney is a graduate of the Saint Paul Public Schools and the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Campus. She received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a minor in ESL.

When not at Wellstone, Paney enjoys reading (especially self-help books to better herself as a person), writing fiction, weekly reflections, bullet journaling and watching movies, with documentaries and horror movies being her top two favorites. Paney is passionate about making connections to the world through writing. She has written many realistic stories of her own for more than 5 years now; one of her dreams is to publish her own book. Ms. Xiong has been dancing to K-Pop for over ten years and has led and choreographed Wellstone students in the Asian American Celebration held at the school. The paraprofessional also enjoys badminton and any type of home cooking, especially Hmong cuisine.

Living in the Twin Cities is home to Ms. Xiong. She foresees herself remaining in the area where her large family and friends reside.

Paney states that, because the world is a very judgmental place, she is guided by the words, "You are you and that's really all that matters."
